SCENAR is highly effective for chronic and acute pain in bones, muscles, joints, ligaments, back pain, diabetic neuropathy, headaches and other painful conditions. SCENAR therapy stimulates the body to use its own internal healing mechanisms to cure a state of ‘dis-ease’. When the SCENAR passes over a ‘painful’ area it sends out a signal to the brain telling it that there is an imbalance, experienced as ‘stickiness’ on the skin. The brain constantly monitors the condition of the body so will already know that this imbalance has occurred. At the start of the SCENAR therapy treatment, the device will be gently moved over your skin, and at times it will be held stationary to take readings, the device appears to drag over the point of pain feeling ‘sticky’. As healing begins the site may redden or change color in relation to the surrounding skin and the device may emit a ‘buzzing’ sound as it passes over the point of pain. Once the area undergoes change, either by reduced stickiness, change of skin color, or a fainter buzzing sound, the treatment is complete. SCENAR therapy supports the body to heal itself, during the session we will search for unresolved problems to assist the body in completing its goal of self-regulation. Any shifts or changes are an indication that your body is already reacting to the therapy and the healing process have started. SCENAR is completely non-invasive – the device only makes contact with the skin – and works primarily by using electrical impulses to stimulate C-fiber nerves, which represent 85% of all nerves in the body and are responsible for signals that trigger the production of neuropeptides and other biochemicals that are the foundation of the healing process. The device is placed directly on the skin, usually at the location where pain or discomfort is being experienced. The practitioner will apply the handheld device on to your skin until you feel a slight tingling sensation. The tingling sensation will be set at a level that you are comfortable with and it is not painful.

There are no known side effects.
